Social media is all about visuals.  A good visual presence will make your school more appealing to new students. Use images on social media that make your school special. This could include:

  • Unique students, faculty or staff
  • Events like graduation or job fairs
  • Special guests
  • Scenery or architecture

You could even ask students to submit photos of what the school means to them. 

Use hashtags

If you want to be successful with your social media plan,stop using random hastags. Use a good, well thought out hashtag to tie all of the pieces of your campaign together. Create a hashtag that is easy to spell and easy to remember. To make sure your hashtag isn’t already being used for something else,check for it on all social media channels prior to using itfor your campaign.

Take it live

Live streaming on social media has exploded. Many schools have taken advantage of this for education lead generation, hosting live campus tours and streaming footage of various events. Live is not only fully integrated into your timeline, but in an effort to push the service, the site’s algorithm ranks streaming content highly, and also alerts all of your followers directly when you are broadcasting.
